The Crystal, located in London’s Royal Victoria Docks, stands out as one of the world’s most sustainable buildings, built by Siemens to house its Center of Competence Cities division. The building houses Siemens offices and the world’s largest exhibition on urban sustainability, as well as a 268-seat auditorium under a red ovoid structure. The main challenge was to adapt the auditorium’s seating to integrate individual tablets, which Figueras achieved by modifying the backrest inclination while maintaining the original comfort. The Top 5036 seat, upholstered in wool and equipped with an LP tablet, was the ideal choice for long conferences, standing out for its comfort and ease of disassembly.
