L’Atlàntida Centre d’Arts Escèniques de Vic is a cultural complex dedicated to the performing arts whose building stands out for its irregular roofs, integrating itself into the intricate urban framework where it is located. This space, preferably for music performances, can also host dance shows, theatre plays and even serve as a set for audiovisual production.
One of the auditoriums was designed with high quality finishes and optimum acoustic qualities that make it the ideal space for performing concerts and shows. Its stage box, of extraordinary height, and a variable capacity of between 280 and 384 seats depending on the configuration of the space, has turned the hall into the most versatile space in L’Atlàntida.
One of the highlights of the hall is the folding of the two side walls of the automated telescopic tribune. Once the tribune has been folded, its sides are closed in the form of an envelope protecting the tribune and overlapping on the back wall, creating an elegant and minimalist space in line with the rest of the building.
The retractable system installed by Figueras and the mobility of its lateral walls allow, on the one hand, a perfect visibility from any seat in the hall and, once retracted, the transformation of the hall into a totally diaphanous space. The seat chosen for this facility is one of the most compact models of Figueras, the Minispace 5071. This seat occupies only 20cms of depth and its wooden finishes in the back and seat give warmth to the atmosphere of the auditorium.
