The Villalbilla Town Hall has transformed what was initially an open-plan space into the new epicenter of the municipality’s cultural and community activities. Given the need to host highly diverse events, the project required a seating solution capable of quick room reconfigurations without restricting or altering the subsequent use of the flooring.
To address this challenge, Figueras’ Mutawheel mobile system was selected, installing a total of 399 seats distributed across 57 groups of 7 seats each. Requiring no floor fixings or anchoring systems, the system fully preserves the integrity of the pavement while offering a 360-degree range of motion. This multidirectional mobility, which includes lateral displacement, facilitates the swift transfer of the seating rows to a dedicated storage area located in another section of the building. The choice of the Minispace 5067 model, renowned for its ultra-compact design, maximizes storage efficiency once folded.
As part of the project, Figueras also designed the specific layout for the storage zone. This planning optimises the deployment, retrieval, and stowing cycles of the seating groups, ensuring a seamless logistical workflow that streamlines municipal operations and makes the absolute most of the available space.
