The newly installed seats at the Home Plate Club in Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers (Detroit, MI), represent a major upgrade in premium stadium seating. This exclusive area, located right behind home plate, now features 350 Megaseat 9043 chairs by Figueras, designed to deliver superior comfort even in extreme weather conditions.
For this project, Figueras partnered with Promethient, Inc. to integrate the innovative Thermavance system—a patented heating and cooling solution that uses thermoelectric devices combined with graphene—into each seat.
The standout features of the new Home Plate Club include high backs with headrests, soft-padded and wide armrests, integrated cupholders, and the innovative Thermavance technology, which provides personalized heating and cooling. The seats are also 21% wider than standard ones and offer extra legroom, significantly enhancing the fan experience.
But that’s not all. Figueras has also installed 1,150 Megaseat 9043 chairs and 580 tables in the Tiger Den area, as well as 50 Smart 13030 chairs in the Loge Box section.
In total, 1,500 Tigers fans now enjoy a more comfortable and immersive game-day experience.
This project clearly demonstrates how thoughtful seat design and cutting-edge technology can transform the spectator experience and add real value to a venue. Figueras seats not only meet the highest standards of ergonomics and functionality—they are also seamlessly integrated into a top-tier hospitality concept that includes exclusive services and access.
