For the third consecutive year since its inception in 2024, Figueras renews its collaboration as an official partner of Open House Zaragoza.
The festival cements the city’s presence on the international circuit for urban design outreach, opening the doors of dozens of landmark buildings, infrastructure sites, and contemporary architectural works that are usually closed to the public free of charge.
The 2026 edition expands its program by combining walking itineraries, technical tours focused on urban sustainability, and guided visits led by architects and historians. From established educational centers to repurposed industrial warehouses and civic venues, the program highlights a city evolving through the reinterpretation and adaptive reuse of its built heritage.
As partners and participants in this year’s activities, we at Figueras understand that the viability of a collective project requires addressing both the urban scale of the building and the technical precision of its interior. Taking part in this forum allows us to exchange perspectives with the design and specification community, reinforcing the need to design public spaces built to endure.
