Le Quai 3 auditorium, an Art Déco theater from the 1920s, has been renovated to combine versatility, functionality, and respect for its historical heritage.
The project focuses on the Mutasub seating System with Minispace 5064 seats, which allows the orchestra level to be quickly and efficiently reconfigured. Installing it required raising the orchestra by one meter, a technical challenge that demanded preserving the building’s integrity while adapting modern systems to a delicate structure.
Alongside the Mutasub Seating System, the Mutawheel Seating System was added to provide additional flexibility and accessibility for people with reduced mobility. The seats that were previously on the orchestra level were reused and relocated to the balcony with fixed legs, optimizing resources while maintaining the historical aesthetic.
The project also included balcony expansion, the creation of rehearsal and storage rooms, and improvements in acoustics, sightlines, and technical systems, delivering a modern, adaptable, and accessible theater suitable for drama, music, conferences, and events, demonstrating that innovation and heritage can coexist in perfect harmony.
