The newly renovated Ahmanson Auditorium at ArtCenter College of Design stands as a testament to the fusion of architectural elegance and state-of-the-art technology. Revamped in 2021 by Darin Johnstone Architects (DJA), this grand auditorium spans 3,300 square feet and is meticulously designed to host an array of events, from world-class speaker sessions to vibrant gatherings, positioning it as the heart of campus life.

The renovation prioritizes modern standards of access and superior audio-visual systems, enhancing both cinematic and educational experiences. Equipped with digital and 35mm projection capabilities, the space offers exceptional screening quality for future generations of filmmakers, artists, and designers.

The Ahmanson Auditorium features 204 Figueras Smart 13033 seats, designed to provide the utmost in audience comfort and functionality. These seats are crafted with an emphasis on ergonomic design, ensuring that each audience member enjoys events in perfect comfort. The robust construction of the seats includes supportive cushioning in the backs and seats. Their innovative design features silent tip-up mechanisms and integrated armrests. The sleek, modern aesthetic of the Smart 13033 model complements the contemporary feel of the auditorium, merging seamlessly with the overall design theme.
