Marta Vilallonga

Marta Vilallonga was born in Barcelona, she studied fashion at l’École Berçot, Industrial Design at ESDI and History of Art at L’École du Louvre in Paris.

She worked in the film area in stage design and staging for 3 years alongside Cyril Collard, Maurice Pialat and Jean Jacques Baratier.

Between 1988 and 1989, she was part of the architect Richard Meier’s studio in New York, making furniture.
In 1990, she began her collaboration with Ricardo Bofill in the Interior Design Department of the Taller de Arquitectura, developing industrial, furniture and lighting design.

On her own, she develops industrial and furniture design, designing products for: Philips, Figueras, Tessa, Plastic Omnium, Zulo, Perobell, Amat a3, Dae, Cerabella, Deco, Escofet.

In 2001, together with Ricardo Bofill, she founded the company Ricardo Bofill – Marta Vilallonga Taller Design, S.L. She jointly holding the position of Chief Interior Designer at Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitetura (RBTA).

After 32 years of close collaboration with the company of Ricardo Bofill, she continues with her work in her company Taller Design Marta Vilallonga in her new place of business at Carrer Johann Sebastian Bach 4, 08021 Barcelona.
