Celebrating the 10th anniversary with the relaunch of the Biennale Chair

Biennale chair by Josep Ferrando in collaboration with Figueras

Ten years ago, the Biennale Chair redefined the balance between nature and design. Today, we return to its original essence: wood, fractal geometry, and simplicity, celebrating a decade of timeless design. A modular chair designed to work individually or collectively.

To celebrate this milestone, the architect Josep Ferrando and Figueras Seating relaunch the Biennale Chair, inspired by the shapes of nature. Its fractal design creates a structure that is both harmonious and functional.

Crafted from wood sourced from certified forests, this model is a tribute to monomateriality: made entirely from wood, combining industrial processes with artisanal craftsmanship, without any additional materials. Presented at the 2014 Venice Biennale, it has been recognized with the Catalunya Ecodisseny Award and the Delta de Opinión 2016 for its pure and sustainable design.
