The new Penske Media Corporation (PMC) headquarters at LUMEN West LA sets a high bar for industry screening venues. Located on the ground floor of this 125,000-square-foot campus, the auditorium serves as a Screening Room for iconic brands such as Variety, Rolling Stone, and The Hollywood Reporter.
For this project, Figueras installed 93 Megaseat 9043 seats in a configuration designed to balance visual performance with regulatory flexibility. While the initial plan called for straight rows, the final layout features radius (curved) rows to significantly improve sightlines toward the screen. Versatility is a key feature of the space: 14 seats in the front row are removable, a strategic solution that maximizes total capacity while ensuring seamless compliance with ADA accessibility standards.
In an environment powered by Dolby Atmos® and Dolby Vision® technology, the seating’s acoustic behavior is critical. The Megaseat’s materials and ergonomics were specifically selected to act as acoustically neutral components, providing the precise absorption levels required for high-fidelity cinematic experiences. This project represents a fusion of comfort and technical rigor, meeting the uncompromising standards of the Hollywood entertainment industry.
