National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS)

Architects

Description

The National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) is the country’s leading oncology institution, with more than 25 years of experience. It integrates clinical care, research and education in a single space, and its new building with a proton therapy centre reinforces its regional leadership.

Its auditorium is a semi-circular hall with a seating capacity of 214, which Figueras Seating had the honour of equipping with Virtus 13205 chairs. The curved, convergent layout towards the stage creates an immersive experience, enhances the proximity between speakers and audience, and ensures clear visibility from every row. The design is conceived to combine comfort, visibility and efficiency in space management.
The chairs are equipped with APL writing tablets, creating an ideal workstation for training sessions or conferences.

The seats hold the PLS Listed certification, an official recognition that ensures they have successfully passed the rigorous quality and safety tests established in Singapore, consolidating them as a reliable and high-standard option for first-class collective spaces.
