The city of Toulouse, known as the European capital of the aeronautical industry, features one of the most spectacular attractions in France, the Cité de l’Espace, a theme park with a space setting. It was inaugurated in 1997 and in 2017, coinciding with its 20th anniversary, it renovated several facilities.
The Cité de l’Espace, with an area of more than five hectares, includes six large themed areas where you can learn about everything related to space in a totally entertaining manner. One of these zones features a planetarium which is equipped with Figueras seats and a projection system on a concave screen of 600 square meters.
The seat which was chosen to equip the planetarium is the TOP IMAX of Figueras, designed specifically for projects with singular characteristics, such as planetariums. This model has a fixed backrest which varies depending on the location of the seat, thus ensuring an optimal viewing of the projected films, from any point in the cinema hall.
