Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, equipped by Figueras, crowned Stadium of the Year 2025

The Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium has been voted Stadium of the Year 2025 by StadiumDB.com following its annual public poll. More than 7,400 users worldwide participated in this edition, awarding the stadium a total of 14,481 points and placing it at the top of a list of 28 stadiums with a capacity exceeding 15,000 spectators inaugurated over the past year.

This recognition highlights a project that reflects Morocco’s current momentum in developing world-class sports infrastructure. The stadium’s success consolidates the country as a global reference point, having already demonstrated its technical and management capabilities during the recent 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, and now preparing for the major challenge of the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Designed by Populous and El Kenfaoui Noureddin, in cooperation with Maroc Bureau and under the leadership of ANEP, the stadium has a capacity for 69,000 spectators and represents a true technical milestone, having been completed in a record time of two years. Figueras played a key role in this development, installing all seating solutions across the various areas and ensuring comfort in every corner of the venue. Alongside the victory of the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Morocco’s success extends to the Moulay El Hassan Stadium and the Rabat Olympic Stadium, which rank fifth and ninth respectively. Both projects were also fully equipped by Figueras, consolidating a consistent value proposition across the country’s top-tier stadiums.

The public nature of the award adds special value to this recognition. The voting is carried out directly by the fans, putting the focus on the actual experience offered by the stadium.

We want to thank StadiumDB.com for the initiative and all the people who voted for reaffirming this stadium as a global benchmark. At Figueras, we are proud that these stadiums are recognized with a distinction of this magnitude. Knowing that thousands of fans have positively valued the experience from our seats is especially significant, as our team’s primary mission is to place user ergonomics and comfort at the core of our designs and value proposition. Furthermore, the fact that the first venue to feature our Chronos model has received an award of this level confirms that prioritizing the spectator experience is the right path,” says José Manuel Santiago, CEO of Figueras Seating.

Figueras’ intervention in the stadium covered the general seating areas, Hospitality Lounges and Skyboxes, the outdoor press area, VIP and VVIP boxes, the press room, and the pitch-side dugouts. To meet the specific needs of each space, cutting-edge solutions were combined with Figueras’ iconic references: Chronos and Onik in high-capacity areas, ensuring ergonomics, durability, and seamless integration with the stadium’s architecture; and Top, Megaseat, and Rhombus to guarantee comfort and exclusivity in the VIP areas and player dugouts.
