For decades, these areas were designed under criteria of mere functionality, sacrificing comfort in favor of capacity. Chronos was born to break that inertia.
This modular solution is designed for mass implementation in high-density stadiums and venues. Its injected polypropylene design hides high-resistance engineering certified with Level 4 (Severe Use) of the UNE-EN 12727 standard.
The real advantage for the operator lies in its maintenance. By using a gravity-fold system, we eliminate the need for springs that typically require periodic adjustments. Furthermore, its architecture allows for total scalability: the same chassis that equips the general stands can be transformed into a solution for premium areas by adding upholstery and accessories, maintaining a consistent aesthetic throughout the venue.
Onik and Onik+: Auditorium Comfort Reaches the Arena
If stadiums are the realm of Chronos, arenas and multi-purpose venues find their ally in the Onik family. These spaces demand extreme versatility: they might host an elite basketball game on Monday and a symphonic concert on Wednesday.
Onik allows for maximizing capacity in narrow stands or retractable seating systems. With a width of just 160 mm in the upright position, it optimizes passage without sacrificing ergonomics. Its secret lies in its reclining backrest, which moves according to the occupant’s needs, improving comfort without giving up capacity.
Likewise, its manufacturing with our Integral Form system, which injects cold-molded foam directly onto the metallic structure, allows us to obtain a seat that maintains its original shape for life, eliminating wrinkles in the upholstery and guaranteeing constant comfort.
In VIP and hospitality areas, the requirements move to the next level. Onik+ raises the stakes with a higher backrest and thicker foam, combining the visual luxury of an auditorium chair with the intensity experienced in the stands. Its acoustic performance is designed for the most sensitive environments, and its fully upholstered finish ensures a high-end experience that blurs the line between sports and corporate entertainment.
Engineering at the Service of Architecture
Beyond their aesthetic differences, these three solutions share a common technical base that facilitates the work of architects and managers. The Fast-Track installation system allows for bar-mounting with just two screws, drastically reducing handling times on-site and allowing for the total freedom to adjust the center-to-center distance, even after installation.
The commitment to the environment’s future is equally tangible. All these solutions have an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and are designed under eco-design standards (ISO 14006). For the specifier, this is not just an ethical gesture, but a practical tool for achieving LEED or BREEAM certifications required by major international operators.
