The future stadium of FC Lugano is one step closer to completion. Figueras Seating recently attended the opening of the AIL Arena Experience Centre, where the Swiss football club unveiled its new stadium project, scheduled to open in 2026.
During the event, Martin Blaser, Vice President and CEO of FC Lugano, recalled his first impression of Figueras’ stadium seating:
“When I saw the VIP seats in 2018 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, I knew that I would love to have those seats in any stadium project I’d be involved in.”
Seven years later, that vision has come to life. Figueras will provide four of its most iconic seating models for stadiums: Chronos, Smart, Onik, and Riva. Each model has been carefully selected to meet the specific requirements of different areas in the venue, from general seating to VIP zones and premium hospitality suites.
These models reflect Figueras’ commitment to creating stadium seating that combines ergonomics, durability, and aesthetics, ensuring long-term comfort and performance in high-demand sports venues.
This partnership goes beyond a supply agreement. As Josep Manel Santiago, CEO of Figueras Seating, stated:
“For us, FC Lugano is more than a project. It’s a prime example of how Figueras can co-design and deliver integrated stadium seating solutions tailored to every part of the fan experience.”
